Pre-Renovation

We bought this unit in August 2010.

After the paperwork which took 3 months, reno started in early November 2010.

Me and the ID were like siamese twins in terms of design ideas, color scheme etc..

We worked seamlessly close together and within a month, everything was completed.

We shifted on 3 December 2010 leaving me exactly a week to pack for a 10-day Europe tour.

Looking back, how did I manage to do it!

Can't help but felt so impressed with myself!

Europe Tour

The family were on a yearly tour.

This year's destinated country was chosen by Mum and the Daughter.

We were in 5 countries in 24 hours.

Singapore, (via) Sri Lanka, (transit) Dubai, (arrived) Zurich, (coach) Germany.

All of us were so zombie after the long long flight that we had no energy for photography, for food when we arrived in Zurich and then to Germany. All we wanted was a hot bath and then zzzzzzzz ....

We joined the group tour every year and we met different families, made different friends, seen different cultures etc. Usually by the 2nd day, everybody in the group would have mingled quite well with one another. It is usually heartwarming to see the husbands talking together, the wives complaining together, the kids played around together, the senior citizens gossiping loudly.

Though the itinerary for group tour is usually very tight but I always take it as good opportunity to be lead, to do nothing but follow instructions.

To fully rest and relax after a year long vacation-less, break-deprive, rest-not-enough days!

To bond with the family.

To appreciate & basked in the country's culture.

To do some crazy (not outrageous hor) stuff.

To at least buy a bag from that country :)

When I was young, my ambition is to be a housekeeper!

I just love to decorate the house, anybody's house!

Me, Myself And I

So many things so little time ....

The day is almost over and I have yet to wish myself "A Blessed Birthday".

As I get wiser ... I wish to leave some prints that every year this day, I feel very blessed because I have family, friends and everyone else around me making my good days. I want to thank them for being who they are and for being who I am when I am with them.

As I get wiser ... I wish to take good care of myself so I can take better care of family, friends and everyone around me.

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival

I am a happy woman on 22 September 2010.

I have a happy Mid-Autumn Festival - a 3000 year old holiday in East Asian Culture.

A holiday originally celebrated the moon and ended the summer harvest season.

This day is also best known as a time for family and friends to gather together and be merry, supposedly to eat mooncake, drink tea and appreciate the moon....

I had a good sumptuous dinner (prepared by the dearest mummy) & gathered with the family.

Though we did not eat mooncake, drink tea or appreciate the moon ...

I nearly jumped over the moon!

I received (in advance) my birthday prezie cum our 14th wedding anniversary gift cum prezies for any other festivals in 2010!
